Shadow Warrior v1.2 Sound Patch by Ken Silverman - April 28, 2000 Has Shadow Warrior been crashing predictably whenever you enter certain places in the game? It happens mostly on "SB Live!" PCI sound cards, but may occur on others as well. Here are some examples of places that crash (among others): Episode 1, Level 1: In the pool Episode 1, Level 1: On the train tracks (near the end of the level) I made a little program that fixes this problem. It disables the "echo" effect by modifying some bytes in SW.EXE. This patch works for v1.2 of Shadow Warrior (both shareware & registered), but not the 3DFX versions. -------------------- NOTES ABOUT THIS PATCH: This patch needs to be in your Shadow Warrior directory before you run it. By default, this is C:\SW, but this might be different if you installed your game to a different directory. This version of the patch supports the following versions of the game: Shadow Warrior v1.2 Shareware Shadow Warrior v1.2 Registered **NOTE** - The 3DFX versions are not supported. If you encounter problems applying this patch, delete your copy of Shadow Warrior, and reinstall from your original CD If you encounter any problems running this patch, please contact 3D Realms tech support at help@3drealms.com.
