Well, more updates have been done to warrant a news post.
Found some information on a few unfinished total conversions which
can be found at the bottom of the maps/codes section.
Also added a new Map Legends section which can be found on the maps/codes page aswell.
It's kind of a tribute to the map makers of the past with some info about them.
Since posting up that section, Torsten and Fabrice have appeared in the forum, great to see some oldschool names.
-Added some .RTS files to the Files/Links page and walkthroughs in demo form.
-More updates I've done but can't think of at the moment....
I found out that the original Lara Croft sprite in the game was a lot different looking in the beta for sw,
cover your kids eyes and have a look, lol
Apparently the story goes like this:
Once the Tomb Raider developers heard that 3DR was putting Lara in Sw as a "secret" just for laughs, they saw this original sprite 3DR had created and promptly sent them their own sprite to use, which we all know is alittle less "riské."
Stumbled across Fabrice Demurgers "Depth of Game Design" found on Sheri Sleyzaks " Shadow Warrior Pix & Stories " website which has been offline for years, the waybackmachine is great :). Anyway, I thought it was a good read and made me reflect fondly upon my time spent in the build "twilight zone." |
